Early Sunday morning, at around 2:00am, my office-mate, Darrin, was returning to his car with his roommate. They had been downtown at a bar and were calling it a night. They split up at some point to go to their respective cars and that was the last time Darrin's roommate saw him for the remainder of the evening, as Darrin never came home. At around 9:30am, a janitor found Darrin unconscious and badly hurt lying outside of Psychology building. He had been there, apparently, for several hours. He is now in the ICU at a local hospital. From what I've been told, he nearly underwent surgery as initially, the physicians believed that they needed to operate on his head to relieve swelling in his brain. But thankfully, that was not necessary. I'm going to see him this evening with several other students and faculty, and hopefully I can figure out what happened. But if anyone wouldn't mind, please pray for his recovery. I can't imagine the trauama he underwent. Pray his body, mind and heart can be healed from this horrible, malicious attack. He is a fourth year doctoral student, who is almost halfway finished with his dissertation, and I'm sure that this is going to set him back a long time. I mention that, because he was earnestly trying to get out of here. I have no more information beyond what I just wrote.
