Theological Pricks and Wusses

I was thinking the other day that the opposite of a theological prick is not necessarily the better alternative. One can become entirely cycnical about the theological enterprise and simply avoid ever claiming that anything is right or wrong when it comes to the Bible or Christianity, and it does not seem to me to be the better choice. I have moved from being a theological prick to lately being a theological cynic, or even a wuss, and I can't help but feel that it's been just as damaging to my relationship with God and others as the previous tendency had been. I think I'm going to embark - or at least, I'm hoping to - on more serious biblical studies to help correct this. If I'm not reading the Scriptures diligently, then of course, I'm not going to have much luck discerning between the various claims out there as to what the Bible says. It then becomes simply armchair philosophizing (is that even a word?). I live in a time in which modern technology has made the Bible affordable and widely available. While in earlier times, reproduction of bibles were too expensive, and thus people did not have access to it and therefore depended on their knowledge of Scripture through professionals, such as local clerics, or through liturgy, that is no longer the case. So, I pray that God will give me the motivation to start reading the Bible more consistently and fruitfully again. I once was a better student of the Word, but since Miles was born two years ago, I cannot bring myself out of bed each morning to read it. I cannot imagine that this is having a good effect on my ability to be a spiritually positive influence in Miles or Paige's lives.

How far along in your recovery from theological prickhood would you place yourself?

My post above was very inappropriate. I cannot withdraw it, but I do apologize for posting it. Please do not feel under any oblgation to respond to it, as I was wrong in posting it in the first place.
