A blog I recently came across is Craig Depken's blog, "Heavy Lifting". Depken is a professor of economics at the University of Texas-Arlington, and a University of Georgia alum. He's a good role model for upcoming economists exiting Georgia's program - just take a look at his recent publications to get a sense of how active he's been. An interesting area that he's been working in is the economics of sports - something which, if I knew anything about sports, I expect I'd find extremely interesting, but seeing as how I'm sports illiterate, I mostly look at from a distance with interest.
